Kim Kardashian is shutting down her fragrance brand KKW Fragrance at midnight on May 1, so that she can relaunch the brand in the future under a new brand name—and under a new web store. Kim’s initials have changed since her divorce.

Coty owns a 20% stake in KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance, and first announced last year that it was reformulating, repackaging, and rebranding KKW Beauty when it temporarily shut down Kylie Cosmetics.

KKW Beauty is now SKKN, after fighting a trademark dispute.

Now, changes are ahead for KKW Fragrance.

Sue Nabi
mentioned Kim K’s name issues in 2020 when she commented on KKW Beauty, saying, “We’re not using her current trademark for all the reasons you can imagine.”

Kim K posted on Instagram:

“Fragrance as many of you know is deeply personal for me. I put my heart and soul into every bottle, and I’m so incredibly proud of every KKW Fragrance product and collaboration that we have launched since Crystal Gardenia in 2017.”

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your loyalty and love these last few years. I cannot wait to introduce you to the next chapter of my fragrance journey—I promise I won’t be gone for too long.”

In the meantime, KKW products online are 40% off until supplies last.

2023 Update

Update from 6/26/2023: Kim Kardashian confirmed on Twitter that she is bringing back her KKW Beauty makeup and fragrance lines under the SKKN umbrella—and the products are expected to launch this year.
